What El Retiro is like
El Retiro is the most commercial neighbourhood of the corridor: the Andino, El Retiro and Atlantis malls, the Zona T and dozens of restaurants sit inside it or on its edge. Housing shares the streets with hotels and offices, in buildings from the eighties onwards.
That makes it very attractive for corporate rentals and for anyone who wants everything on foot; it also means choosing the street well: towards Carrera 7 and Calle 85 it is more residential and quiet, towards the Zona T there is more noise at night.
Supply for sale is small and very varied in age and condition, which is why the per-square-metre figures move more than in purely residential neighbourhoods.
